Tryouts

TRYOUT INFORMATION FOR SRYHA

MANDATORY Player and Parent Tryout meeting will be held in October.   This meeting will cover the overall tryout process and address any questions of players or parents.  SRYHA does allow parents to be in the stands during the tryouts as long as there is no interference with the players during the tryout process.  Players are judged on skating skills and ability as well of overall "hockey sense" during game situations.  Parents are not allowed to talk with the judges at any time before, during or after the tryouts.  Individual player rankings are confidential and will not be disclosed.  Final team selections will be announced at the end of the tryout process by the level coordinators.

NOTE: For any players wishing to tryout at a level above their age classification, e.g. a Mite wanting to tryout at the Squirt level, please contact the level coordinators at both your age appropriate level and the higher level you are trying out for.  The SRYHA Handbook covers the guidelines for this process.
