Coaches Corner
The coaches corner is a place to enhance your sports education. The goal of this area is to assist you in developing better players and better people for future success at whatever level you might be at. Our goal is for you to learn one new thing each time you visit this section. If you have any questions, suggested topics, or articles to contribute to this area please contact us.
Coaches For 2011-2012
SRYHA is looking for coaches at all levels for the 2011-2012 season.

In addition to registering on-line with USA Hockey, the following forms are required for all coaches:
1. A copy of your current coaches card MUST be submitted EVERY YEAR - COPY BOTH SIDES
Note: The Minnesota Hockey Screening Form must be signed and you must make sure that you have your signature WITNESSED.

USA Hockey Coaches Education Program
All Youth Hockey coaches MUST be certified by USA Hockey before they can coach. If you currently hold a CEP Level 3 or lower, your certification expires THIS year. You must periodically attend Coaching Education Program sessions to be re-certified. Coaches holding a CEP Level 4 do not have to re-certify. For the 2011-2012 season, if your last CEP sticker says 2010-2011 (or before), you MUST re-certify THIS year!

Student Coaches
If you are a high school hockey player or older youth hockey player interested in helping out with coaching Youth Hockey this year, you need to be registered with USA Hockey as a Player and added to the Official Team Roster. If you have not registered yet please go online and register.
You need to provide the following:
1. USA Hockey Student Coach Information Form
2. Minnesota Hockey Coaching Ethics Code Agreement
3. One copy of your OFFICIAL-CERTIFIED state issued birth certificate
4. Consent to Treat Form
