The coaches corner is a place to enhance your sports education. The goal of this area is to assist you in developing better players and better people for future success at whatever level you might be at. Our goal is for you to learn one new thing each time you visit this section. If you have any questions, suggested topics, or articles to contribute to this area please contact us.
All Youth Hockey coaches MUST be certified by USA Hockey before they can coach. Please check your certification expiration. You must periodically attend Coaching Education Program sessions to be re-certified. Coaches holding a CEP Level 4 do not have to re-certify. For the 2023-2024 season, if you are a squirt/10u or higher coach and your last CEP says December 31st 2023 (or before), you MUST re-certify THIS year! You can also view your certification status and obtain further info through link below.
The Registration "Coaches Corner" is not currently available.
All coaches must attend SRYHA Coaches Meeting, register with USA Hockey and SRYHA, finish age-specific modules, concussion training, background check, and SafeSport training prior to being on the ice.
All Head Coaches must fill out and submit Coach Concussion Certification.
SRYHA is looking for coaches at all levels for the 2023-2024 season.

If you are a high school hockey player interested in helping out with coaching Youth Hockey this year, you need to be registered with USA Hockey as a Player and added to the Official Team Roster. If you are interested please email Jason Ellering @ je.stormhockey@gmail.com
