Functional Athletic Sports Training - FAST Elite Conditioning
 
FAST Elite Conditioning Camp started out in 2005. We are now in our 5th year of training hockey players aged 7th grade to Professional.

The FAST Elite Conditioning Camp is an Off Ice training program. Our goal is to develop a complete, conditioned and balanced athlete. This program will focus on training the whole body for the complete athletic package.

We strongly emphasize the individual development of our athlete’s with discipline and skill instilled in all of our programs, believing that no athlete will succeed unless they have both.

The breadth and depth of movements utilized in the FAST method are unparalleled in any other strength and conditioning program. We use Powerlifting, Olympic lifting, Gymnastics, and High-intensity interval training as well as barbells, dumbbells, rings, pull up bars and body-weight exercises. Understanding the intricacies of developing a complete athlete is a never-ending quest, but one that starts with understanding the basics of stimulus and response:Movement + Intensity = Stimulus

Good coaching includes an element of healthy competition so the training objective is ever present. Without this direction, the purpose of training can mutate from a productive, focused pursuit to something more like a leaf in the wind, going this way and that. Such training is counterproductive and even harmful. The two kinds of healthy competition are competition with self and competition with worthy rivals.
Today you must have victory over the “you” of yesterday in order to become the “you” of tomorrow.

Training and competition are two different things. Training is a means for developing the ability to compete at a higher level. Competition is the proving ground for the efficacy of training. Training is methodical and purposeful. Competition is unrestrained. In most sports, an athlete trains 80 percent of the time and competes 20 percent of the time. If it were the other way around the athlete’s career would be short.

Functional Athletic Sports Training - FAST Summer Hockey Camp
 

FAST started out in off ice hockey training back in 2005. Now in its 5th year of training hockey players aged Mites to Collegiate. Our On-Ice Summer Camp will have a strong focus on skills and skating. Our goal is to improve basic skills such as Skating, Stick Handling, Passing, and Shooting. Our camps are designed to provide multiple training opportunities for all players and skill levels.

Each of our specially designed programs will offer the following features:

One summer of highly concentrated skills instruction in all areas of the game
- 15 + total hours of skills training & education
- 7+ hors off-ice conditioning and skill work
- Speed generation
- Stick handling outside of their comfort zone
-"Overspeed" training
- Advanced shot techniques, quick release, power, accuracy
